This is from a collection of works recently discovered by JLH, which were done by RTH between about 1958 and 1960.  Tempura on paper.  Signed "Dick Hibbert" on the edge of the page.  10" x 16"

Tatami Room with Snowy view

This seems a very pleasant view to me, but I almost missed it.  The negative was very dark, and I'm surprised how well Picasa does at brightening up a nearly hidden scene.  Clearly Japan, late 60s.  I'd guess the room is in a riokan (inn) or restaurant.

Woman sweeping a cobblestone courtyard.  I'm pretty sure this is at a temple in Japan, but I can't identify it.

Spider in a Half-Completed Web

RTH often took photos of spiders and their webs, though they seldom come out very clearly.  This one came out particularly well.  It was taken in Japan.

Giant Teapot

RTH taught photography courses while we were in Japan, and often took his classes out to wander around.  On one trip, they saw this giant teapot in a store window.  I don't know who is in the picture.

Dancing Shoes

RTH and JLH took a cruise around South America in February, 2007.  RTH filled a sketchbook on the trip.
